We meet with the Trust regularly to discuss what we are hearing, and 4 times a year we have an online meeting via Microsoft Teams, everyone is welcome, you just need to complete our mailing list form to receive an invitation.

 

We discuss what is happening in our local maternity services. We look at what’s going well, which areas might need improvement and the key issues our service users are facing.

 

We have updates from the director of maternity, transformation midwives, the commissioners, the local maternity and neonatal system (LMNS) and the neonatal network.

The MVP creates an opportunity for anyone who has used the maternity services in Brighton & Hove, Haywards Heath, Worthing and Chichester to work with our local NHS teams in helping to develop and implement change.

The partnership includes, but is not limited to:

• Maternity Voices Partnership Chairs or leads

• Service users and their families

• Community voices (including doulas, antenatal educators, breastfeeding counsellors, Healthwatch, hypno-birthing educators, charities and NCT)

• Maternity staff

• Transformation leads

• Commissioners

• Directors/heads of maternity

• Health visitors
